In response to the request of the people of Africa for a greater union in as far as the engagement with the international community for the mutual benefit of both the African people and the world is concerned. We declare the formation of the African League.
The African League is to be a truly Pan African body for the benefit to all African nations. We seek a greater continental transformation, by giving the greatest hope for a full liberation to our continent.
We accept the duty and pledge to commit to a new unity in the decolonization struggles of Africa. We seek together to assist all the people of Africa to re-liberate themselves from tyrannical rule and post-colonial subjugation.
We pledge to work together to transform Africa into a democracy that will develop our continents potential for the benefit of all future gen- erations. We seek peace among all nations of Africa through a greater understanding of our common needs and how together as citizens of our continent we will best develop all of our Nations of Africa.
We are committed to eliminating the abomination of war through education, a healthy standard of living and the promise of a fulfilling life with religious and political freedom for all to live in dignity with equality. That we believe any public office is a stewardship of service to the people and that all heads of state are subject to the Rule of Law.
What the global village phenomenon is obtaining today has overtaken the ability of many political bodies to react with competence to the needs of the very people to which they are recognized as the solvent governing body. I therefore salute all the Revolutionary Movements (The African- Arab spring). God has allowed these developments to happen for “his”glory over men. Let’s arise and help our people realize their potential.
